Week - 13

Hey everyone! Mom and dad thank you for your letter, sounds like you had a great week. I'm sorry that's it's cold there... haha kinda miss it but not that much!! So now that we have a car in Kwa-Thema the work is FLYING. we are able to schedule more appointments and have longer days. It's super nice, but man we are running out of time in the days, just because they're so busy!
This week was a great week. We taught a lot of new people this week, 10 to be exact. They are all very open to the gospel, and are full of questions. I'd like to share an experience I had this week while teaching a wonderful family. Sister Simphiwe came to church randomly one Sunday because she was a little confused on some teachings of her church. Every since that first week she has came every week since and has made some great friends there. We went to teach her a little bit more about the Book of Mormon after general conference yesterday. As a missionary you teach this lesson 100's, even 1000's of times. But we are taught to teach by the spirit, and listen to it. I've been pondering a lot lately how to hear his still small voice, to be able to teach by it better. I will say during this lesson it started a little difficult. They are a very shy family so it was hard to get them to open up. But as we taught about how the Book of Mormon teaches us of Jesus Christ I felt prompted to share my testimony of the power in the book. It was such a sacred experience to feel the spirit in that house. They opened up and told us how this is something they have been looking for in their lives.
I now understand more fully why we should try our best to teach by the spirit. It is a better teacher than we could ever be, as it hits deep in our hearts and our own feelings. Not just through our brains that try to put everything in a logical standpoint according to the things we have learned in the world. I LOVE Kwa-Thema! I am scared to leave this place because I don't know if anywhere in south Africa, or the world can compare to the people that live here.
Conference was amazing. The talks truly made me ponder more and answered some questions I had. I'm grateful for living prophets and apostles who still receive revelation to lead Jesus Christs' Church in these days. I love you all, hope you had a wonderful week.
